Terms & Conditions

In order to keep our horses, riders and staff safe please read the below carefully to give you a good understanding of how we work around the yard. We are a small boutique riding school with amazing opportunities for our riders, therefore we have some guidelines in place with booking lesson's to assist with the smooth running of the yard.

Safety

  • WAIVERS: Horse riding is a dangerous sport, and all participants are required to sign a waiver before participating.  The waiver will be emailed to you ahead of your lesson and must be sent back before your first ride.

  • safety gear must be worn per Equestrian Australia’s current standards. This includes horse riding helmet, horse riding boots, appropriate clothing (long pants and sun safe shirt) and sunscreen must be worn. No excessive jewellery or strappy tops, no shorts or three-quarter pants or loose clothing.

  • Family members must wear appropriate gear if they wish to enter the yard. This includes closed shoes and practical clothing.

  • Riders and family members are asked to wait outside the entrance to the barn (There is signage to guide you), until a member of staff welcomes you and prepares you for your lesson.

  • We allow no more than 2 family members per rider to enter the yard and watch the lesson at any time.

  • Although we do have some staff dogs on the yard, they are used to the routine of a working yard, we ask you to please leave your furry friends at home when coming to the stable.

LESSON / BOOKING CONDITIONS

  • Lessons are a full-term commitment

  • Riders must arrive 5mins prior to commencement of lesson; Lessons start when the Coach greets the rider and finishes when they dismount.

  • Weight Restrictions: For the safety of our customers and the health of our horses, we have a safety weight restriction. Too great a weight on a horse’s back can cause serious injury and thus we have a customer maximum weight restriction of 90 kg (height to weight ratios are considered).

  • If you need to cancel a lesson, we require a minimum of 48 hours’ notice.

  • We ride in the rain wherever possible. In the event of heavy rain or dangerous conditions and a lesson will be adjusted for horsemanship, please come to your allocated lesson time regardless of weather conditions.

  • Repetitive cancellations within a 2-week period may cause you to lose your time slot.

  • Our Equipment are living (horses) and they get sick or have days out of sorts. This means that their performance can vary, or they have days off. This may result in the movement of horses, coaches and riders around to make the safest possible riding conditions, without prior notification. This also means we are unable to guarantee you the same horse.

  • All payments are to be made electronically once lessons are invoiced. No cash payment accepted.

  • It is our preference for a term’s lessons to be paid upfront at the beginning of the term. If you are unable to pay up front, please get in touch and a payment plan can be arranged with charges to be paid in 2 or 3 instalments for the term. All Lessons must be paid upfront.
