Schools Program's
Over the past few years the schools program has gone from strength to strength starting with a couple of individual riders, to starting the Pymble Ladies College program allowing students who don't own their own horse to have lessons, and prepare riders to represent and compete for their school in inter schools competitions. This is a unique program to WEC not only teaching and developing junior level riders, but preparing them and taking them to inter schools shows both locally and across NSW. We take a lot of pride in this program and love seeing our young riders build from strength to strength.
About the program.
School program's run from year 3-12 and a run after school and for those in the competition school squad also on a Saturday's. After-school lessons run as an option of a 1 or 2-hour program, Monday through to Friday. 2 hour sessions include 1 hour riding time, and 1 hour horsemanship where riders learn the skills to prepare their horse for competitions.
Sessions run weekly during each school term. Students are required to sign up for the full school term or semester.
Parents have the option of dropping off and leaving, or staying to watch the lesson.
Sessions times vary depending on the school group, travel times and session option.
Competitions are planned out carefully with those who are ready to compete, and an individual show schedule is planned carefully by our coaches to build confidence in the competition environment.
All show's are an additional cost and will be discussed at the time of the event.
