School Holiday Riding Camps

We love the school holiday period and the opportunity to give our riders extra time at the yard to develop their riding skills, build their equine knowledge and enjoy quality time with the horses.

Our holiday camps are designed for different riding abilities, from complete beginners through to advanced riders, with a combination of riding, horsemanship and fun yard activities. They are a great opportunity for riders to gain confidence, learn more about horse care and get a feel for what it is like to have a horse of their own.

Beginner Camps | 9am–2pm

Our Beginner Camps are perfect for children who are new to riding and horses. With a maximum of 8 riders, children are split into two groups and rotate between riding and horsemanship sessions throughout the day.

Riders will have the opportunity to:

  • Enjoy a group riding lesson

  • Learn how to groom, tack up and care for a horse

  • Learn about feeding and general horse management

  • Bath the horses

  • Make hay nets and prepare feeds

  • Enjoy fun mounted pony games

  • Learn how to safely work around horses and care for them at the end of the day

Suitable for complete beginners.

Intermediate Camps | 9am–2pm

Our Intermediate Camps are designed for riders who can confidently walk, trot and canter and are looking to progress their riding skills, including developing towards jumping.

These camps combine riding and horsemanship, giving riders the opportunity to improve their riding while continuing to develop their knowledge and independence around horses.

Suitable for riders who can walk, trot and canter and are looking to progress their skills.

Advanced Camps | 9am–4pm

Our Advanced Camps are designed for current WEC riders who are ready for a full day of riding, training and horse management.

The day includes:

  • Dressage training in the morning

  • Show jumping in the afternoon

  • Horse management and yard duties

  • Assisting with setting up and packing down

  • Learning about the preparation required for a full day of training

These camps provide a great opportunity for riders to take their skills to the next level while gaining a better understanding of everything that goes into preparing and caring for a competition horse.
